7) THE FIREFLY GOWN
JOJ’s daenggi meori hairstyle consists of a braid adorned by a black daenggi with a golden pattern (a ribbon) and a gorgeously designated dwikkoji (smaller hairpin) on one side of her head that links together various shapes of flowers, leaves and a butterfly.
The chima made of an intense magenta colour and adorned by an elegant norigae (pendant) contrasts with the atypical black jeogori.
The upper garment consists of many details – topped with a stark dongjeong (white removable collar) its kudongs (end sleeves) and the area around the otgoreum are made out of chequered fabric.
The extraordinary hanbok is another example of JOJ’s brilliant models and perfectly suits the magical night filled with fireflies, fireworks and illicit meetings.
8) THE GREEN CHIMA GOWN
I’ve noticed that JOJ often leaves out the baetssi daenggi (an ornament for the top of the head) from her daenggi meori hairstyles and adorns it only with a daenggi (a ribbon) and a dwikkoji on one side of her head. The ribbon is red and the metallic dwikkoji is ornated with green and red stones.
The chima made of a radiant green colour and adorned with an elegant norigae (pendant) complemets the blueberry jeogori with a beautufully intricate embroidery and semi-transparent sleeves that are ended by white kudongs.
The dongjeong and two-coloured otgoreum match the ribbon she chose for her hair. During her visit by JH she opted for the same brown jangot which she picked for the HOTHOUSE GOWN but never worn.
9) JOJ’S NIGHTGOWN
We can’t really see much of her nightdress, however, the whole attire is basically asokot (undergarments) consisting of sokbaji (undergarment pants), sokchima(an undergarment skirt) and sokjeogori (an undergarment blouse) adorned by an intricate flower embroidery and topped with a dongjeong.
